UnKnown Land Feature Spotlight
Crop Circles
Crop circles are not a modern phenomenon. They are mentioned in academic texts of the late 17th Century, and almost 200 cases, some with eyewitness accounts, have been reported prior to 1970. Many cases are often accompanied by sightings of incandescent or brightly colored balls of light, shafts of light or structured flying craft.

Some believe that the crop designs come from a source of quantum physics, ley lines, parallel dimensions and circular harmonics. Over the years, a number of humming, trilling and other 'unexplained' sounds have been heard in the vicinity of crop circles. Some also believe that the crop designs are messages from alien spacecraft. Some maintain that the aliens are trying to communicate with us using ancient Sumerian symbols or symbolic representations of alien DNA. Some also claim these theories are just made up of myths.
To date there have been over 10,000 reported and documented crop circles throughout the world.

New Cobra Snake Species
Africa's Naja ashei snake is not only the world's newest snake species. Discovered in 2007 it is also the largest spitting cobra. Naja ashei takes its place among the 30 or so known cobra species, including the king cobra, which is the world's largest venomous snake. Blood and tissue samples helped confirm that these massive, aggressive, extremely venomous snakes form a separate species. These snakes can grown up to 20 feet in length. One bite contains enough venom to kill 20 people.

New Species
A camera trap in a Indonesian national park on the island of Borneo in 2005 photographed one of the latest animals of unknown species. The camera trap is an everyday camera armed with infrared sensors that take pictures whenever they sense movement in the forest. The animal was captured on film twice at night in the dense forests of Kayan Mentarang National Park in Kalimantan, Indonesia. The creature could be an entirely new species or a new species of marten or civet cat, which looks like a cross between a cat and a fox. New species have been discovered there at a rate of three per month over the last 10 years, making the area one of the richest on Earth in terms of biodiversity.

Elusive Bigfoot
A Sasquatch or Bigfoot, is an ape like creature that thrives in North America. Sightings of this creature have dated back hundreds of years, and even thousands of years in other continents around the world. One description can never accurately describe what each member of this species look like. Like humans, every Sasquatch is different in many ways in the world of cryptozoology. Whether it is the color, height, weight, or the general build of the creature that makes it different, we believe there is no two Sasquatch that appear to be exactly alike.
The general description of a North American Sasquatch is as follows: A tall ape like creature that in many ways looks like a gorilla in the face. The creature walks upright, and have very large feet, hence the name Bigfoot. It also emanates a foul odor, which is usually described as smelling like a mixture of a dead animal, creek mud, and wet hair. In most sighting reports the creature is very elusive, this makes the sighting never last more than a short period of time.

Uncharted Lands
The Sentinelese are one of the Andamanese indigenous peoples of the Andaman Islands, located in the Bay of Bengal. They exclusively inhabit North Sentinel Island which lies westwards off the southern tip of the Great Andaman archipelago. They are noted for vigorously maintaining their independence and sovereignty over the island, and resisting attempts of contact by outsiders. By their long-standing separation from any other human society they are among the most isolated and unassimilated peoples on Earth, their social practices being almost entirely free of any recorded external influence.
The present population of the Sentinelese is not known with any great degree of accuracy, and estimates have been produced ranging from a low of fewer than 40, through to a median of around 250, and up to a maximum of 500. In the 2001 Census of India, officials recorded 39 individuals (21 males and 18 females); however, out of necessity this survey was conducted from a distance and almost certainly does not represent an accurate figure for the population who range over the island. Any medium or longterm impact on the Sentinelese population arising from the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and resulting tsunami remains unknown, other than the confirmation obtained that they had survived the immediate aftermath.

Skunk Ape Of Florida
The Skunk Ape is said to be a large hairy, bipedal mammal and inhabits swampy areas in the southern United States, including the Florida Everglades. It is said that the blood line of this hominid can be traced to that of its very close relative, the North American Sasquatch.
According to the United States National Park Service, the Skunk Ape exists only as a local myth.
This photo was taken recently on the edge of the Florida Everglades. This Bigfoot relative is known as the Skunk Ape in the Florida area. The Skunk Ape has been sighted numerous times and there have also been footprints found and cast. It gets it's nickname from the powerful stench that often accompanies it. Reported sightings of this creature go back over 30 years.
